Roberto Mancini has defended his record as Manchester City manager after recent speculation has seen the Italian's position come under threat.

The Citizens have failed to hit the heights set by last season's dramatic championship winning campaign, having been knocked out of the Champions League at the group stage this term while currently trailing Manchester United by 12 points in the league.
That form has seen speculation surrounding the former Inter Milan coach's tenure at Eastlands increase, although the City boss feels his recent record as a manager is peerless in England, pointing to his trophy haul as justification for his claim.
"In the last 15 months I am the best manager in England, I won one Premier League, one FA Cup, one charity shield, there is not another manager that's won like me in the last 15 months," he told BBC Sport.
Recent reports have also linked current Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho to the City hotseat, after rumoured front runner Pep Guardiola had agreed to join Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich at the end of the season.
Mancini, though, was also quick to dismiss the constant scrutiny surrounding his future, claiming the speculation does not bother him in the slightest.
"Someone says for six months that Manchester City would change manager, Guardiola would come in, and after Guardiola went to Bayern Munich, now another manager," he said.
"I can do nothing but it is the reality."
The City boss will be hoping to get his team back on track in their upcoming Premier League fixture against Chelsea at Eastlands on Sunday, following their surprise 3-1 away defeat to Southampton a fortnight ago.
