La Liga leaders Barcelona travel to Andalucia to play resurgent Granada on Saturday looking to extend their already unassailable lead at the top of the league table.

The Blaugrana currently sit atop the league on 62 points, 12 points ahead of Atletico Madrid in second and a massive 16 points above defending champions Real Madrid in third.

Barca are unbeaten in their last 21 games at home, their last loss coming in the Classico in April last year, and have the best attack in the Spanish top-flight scoring 78 goals in their 23 league games this season.

Assistant coach Jordi Roura is likely to rest certain key players ahead of their crucial last 16 Champions League first-leg clash against Milan on Wednesday. He will, however, be without David Villa who is still in hospital undergoing treatment for kidney stones and playmaker Xavi who is still nursing a hamstring.

Granada have been in fine form of late and have managed to claw their way out of their relegation zone after three wins in their last five Primera Division matches. They could move into 12th place depending on results elsewhere.

Lucas Alcaraz will take on the 21 times league champions without influential midfielder Dani Benitez after he underwent a hernia operation earlier in the week, as well as Fran Rico who remains sidelined with a knee injury.

The Andalusians have lost their last three encounters with the Catalans, but they may feel they could snatch a draw, especially if Barca field a weakened team.
