Mark Robins will take charge of his first game as Huddersfield manager after joining the Terriers from Coventry, and the new boss will be hoping for a repeat of the result when these teams last met in the competition in 1977, with Huddersfield coming out on top 2-0 that day.

Huddersfield's league form has been poor of late, with just one win since mid-November dropping them to 18th in the Championship.

Wigan, meanwhile, find themselves in an equally precarious position as they occupy 19th in the Premier League, and look to be facing a battle for survival in the coming weeks.

Roberto Martinez's men have not won in their last six in the league and last tasted victory against Macclesfield in the fourth round to set up this tie.

Martinez has used the competition as an opportunity to give the younger players a run, and that may well continue, while Antolin Alcaraz, Emmerson Boyce, Adrian Lopez and Ryo Miyaichi are all in contention for the match.

Danny Ward, Keith Southern, Lee Novak and Jermaine Beckford are definitely out for the hosts, who could welcome Peter Clarke, Neil Danns, and goalkeeper Alex Smithies back into the squad.
