Suarez: Leading the line

Liverpool welcome West Brom to Anfield on Monday night looking to build on arguably their best performance of the season against Manchester City.

The Reds looked set to take all three points away from Eastlands last Sunday, until a moment of madness from goalkeeper Pepe Reina, coupled with an excellent finish from Sergio Aguero, secured City a share of the spoils.

After the 2-2 draw against the Citizens, the Merseysiders currently sit in seventh place with 36 points and Brendan Rodgers will be hoping his side get the win against the Baggies.

In-form striker Daniel Sturridge picked up a knock in last weekend's stalemate, but should be fit to start alongside the prolific Luis Suarez up front.

The two should be supported by Raheem Sterling out wide if the winger manages to shake off a calf injury.

New signing Philippe Coutinho could also feature in the game, but will probably start from the bench.

Meanwhile, West Brom were undone by a brilliant Gareth Bale strike last time out, losing 1-0 to Spurs which saw Steve Clarke's side slip to ninth in the table.

Albion could welcome back Youssouf Mulumbu after returning from the Africa Cup of Nations, but long-term absentees Zoltan Gera and George Thorne (both knee) remain sidelined.

To compound matters, the Baggies will be without Goran Popov after he was sent off for spitting at Kyle Walker, while Peter Odemwingie is highly unlikely to feature after his deadline day shenanigans earned him a two-week vacation.
