The Swans currently sit in eighth place on 45 points and have had a slight dip in form since booking their place in the Capital One Cup semi-final, winning only one of their six games in all competitions since then.

Michael Laudrup's side will surely be favourites at home against the Premier League's bottom club and the Dane will feel that anything but a win over the R's will be a disappointment.

Both goalkeeper Michel Vorm (knee) and captain Leon Britton (ankle) will face late fitness tests ahead of the clash, while Neil Taylor (ankle) is out for the season and midfielder Kemy Augustien (foot) is only expected back in three weeks time.

Meanwhile, QPR have tightened up in defence of late but are not scoring enough goals to indicate they may avoid the drop this season, despite being unbeaten in their last five matches.

The Hoops missed a golden opportunity to pull their way back into the relegation scrap at the weekend, drawing 0-0 with Norwich at home in a game where they were arguably the better side and missed a penalty.

That result meant Harry Redknapp's remain rooted to the foot of the table with just 17 points and have won just two league matches this campaign.

January signing Loic Remy faces a late fitness test for the trip to South Wales and should start up front. However, Jose Bosingwa, Nadum Onuoha (both back), Junior Hoilett (hamstring) and Andy Johnson (ACL) are all unavailable.
