Arsenal, Liverpool and Everton are all thought to be interested in signing the Republic of Ireland international, who has established himself as a key member of the Latics' first team since making his debut as an 18-year-old in 2009.
While admitting that he will consider his options at the end of the season, McCarthy insists he is 100 percent focused on helping his current employers, who find themselves languishing in 18th spot on the table and without a win in their last five matches.
"Obviously, it's good to see your name linked with big clubs, certain clubs, it' s always nice but I am still a Wigan player and I will keep playing for Wigan until the end of the season," he said.
"I have been linked with clubs here and there but I will keep working hard and see what the end of the season brings."
