Tottenham's Gareth Bale continued his goalscoring form on the international stage, opening the scoring in the 21st minute after running onto Joe Allen's pass and steering home a fine finish.
After scoring superb goals in his club's last two fixtures, Bale's recent strike was his third goal in a week, which also took his international tally to seven in his last nine internationals.
Bale then took the turn to provide the assist, putting in a stunning cross from the right flank for Sam Vokes to head home powerfully in the 52nd minute.
Poland got a way back into the match in the 75th minute when Marc Janko slotted home from a Marko Arnautovic set-up, but the Welsh hang on the grab the win at home.
