Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has hailed his side's determination following their 1-0 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday evening.

Rooney rescued the win with 11 minutes to go, after the Red Devils had hit the woodwork three times and failed to hit the net in an eventful 79 minutes.
The goal takes the England international's tally to nine Premier League goals and the 27-year old knew the value of patience in the tough battle against the Cottagers.
"We knew it was always going to be difficult coming here and they made it difficult for us," he told ESPN. "We hit the post and crossbar three times.
"We had to keep going and believe we could get the goal, and thankfully we did. We know we can create chances and we can take them."
The win sees United open up a 10-point gap at the top of the table, with second-placed Manchester City still to play on Sunday.
"We are in a great position but we are not going to get carried away," Rooney added.
Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson also had his bit to say, admitting that his players had made him proud with their display at Craven Cottage.
"We had so many chances. It was a terrific football match and it was an excellent result, and I'm very pleased for us," the 71-year old said.
"They had some great chances. Our keeper David De Gea, Jonny Evans, Rio Ferdinand were terrific and we had a few chances ourselves, the second-half in particular.
"In the first-half we hit the woodwork three times but we deserved to win. They have had a great home record over the years and it is a very important result for us."
"It's a good position (we are in) we are pleased. Tonight you can look at the performance of the players. They put their bodies on the line, blocking shots, great headers out of defence, really determined effort by the players."
