Pacheco: Heading to Spain

Liverpool forward Daniel Pacheco has joined Spanish side Sociedad Deportiva Huesca on loan until the end of the season.

The 22-year-old, who has not played for Liverpool in a Premier League game since August 2010, had a spell at Norwich City at the end of the 2010-11 season before spending last season on loan at Rayo Vallecano.

Pacheco then returned to Anfield, most recently featuring in their 1-0 Europa League Group A defeat away to Anzhi Makhachkala on November 8.

In all, Pacheco has made only 17 appearances for the Reds since joining the club from Barcelona in 2007.

Pacheco joins a Huesca side fighting for survival, currently lying 19th in the Segunda Division through 23 games of the current season.

Goalkeeper Alexander Doni, 33, has also left Anfield to join Botafogo in his native Brazil.

Doni, who joined Liverpool from Roma in July 2011, has been in South America since last summer on extended leave for personal reasons.

His Liverpool contract was set to expire at the end of this season, and has been cancelled by mutual consent.

Doni played only four times for the Reds, but has won 10 caps for Brazil. He was picked in their squad for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, but did not feature.
