The last time the two sides met in the world's oldest cup competition, Leeds managed to force a replay after a 2-2 stalemate at White Hart Lane but were undone by a Jermaine Defoe hat-trick in a 3-1 loss at home.

The Whites will likely have to deal with the clinical England striker again, as well the pace of local-boy Aaron Lennon, who returns to the club where he started his career in 2001.

Andre Villas-Boas is slowly getting used to life without Brazilian midfielder Sandro who is reportedly out for at least four months after he injured his knee against Queens Park Rangers earlier this month.

Spurs booked their place in the fourth round with a comfortable 3-0 win over Coventry City.

The Portuguese will also be without Younes Kaboul who is still nursing a knee injury and Emmanuel Adebayor who is with Togo at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Leeds needed a replay, but eventually knocked out fellow Championship side Birmingham at the second time of asking, a 1-0 victory at Elland Road securing their passage into the fourth round.

Neil Warnock may be forced to rotate his squad due to the unavailable Michael Tonge and Ross Barkley, who are both Cup-tied for the clash as well as defender Adam Drury who will be out for several weeks with an anke problem.

Additionally, the Leeds boss may choose to leave Luciano Becchio on the bench, after the Argentinian handed in a transfer request earlier this week.

Expect the controversial Senegalese El Hadji Diouf to either lead the line play out wide for the Peacocks.
