The Canaries currently sit 13th in the Premier League standings, some 85 places higher up than the Hatters in the English league ladder, leaving Chris Houghton's side odds-on to progress in football's longest running cup competition.

The Norfolk club do, however, need to quickly put their most recent outing behind them as they head into the tie on the back of a 5-0 humiliation at the hands of Liverpool last weekend.

Town, meanwhile, are undefeated in their last two league matches, playing out a goalless draw against AFC Telford United after having hammered Barrow AFC 6-1 at the beginning of January.

In team news, Norwich boss Hughton is expected to shuffle his squad players for the tie, with Declan Rudd set to come in between the sticks, while Andrew Surman, David Fox and Elliott Bennett should also get their chances to impress.

Steven Whittaker only just returned to training from a hip injury and is not expected to be considered, as is the case with Sebastien Bassong (calf), while Steve Morison (thigh) and England goalkeeper John Ruddy (thigh) remain out.

The visitors, meanwhile, have no new injury concerns to deal with, but must do without cup-tied duo Scott Neilson and Simon Ainge.

JJ O'Donnell and Jon Shaw, however, have overcome their respective injuries and should return to the side.
