Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was delighted with his team's performance at the Emirates on Wednesday, and believes that the quality and temperament shown against West Ham bodes well for the remainder of the season.
The score was 1-1 at half-time with West Ham's Jack Collison giving the visitors the lead, only for Lukas Podolski to equalise four minutes later.
The Gunners came out firing in the second half as they banged in four goals in the opening 10 minutes of the half to register their first league win of 2013.
Two goals from Olivier Giroud and one apiece from Theo Walcott and Santi Cazorla put the north Londoners in total control of the contest.
Wenger told the club's official website: "I was worried that they are a bit sometimes inhibited in the recent big games from the start on.
"But this team has a fantastic mentality and good quality, that's what we want to show until the end of the season now. Yes, at 1-0 down, if you concede the second goal [it can go the other way].
"But the Premier League is like that. Everybody can score against everybody and everybody is in trouble as soon as you are not at your best."
Podolski was in stunning form as he added three assists to his first-half strike.
Wenger said: "Yes, at 1-0 down, if you concede the second goal [it can go the other way].
"But the Premier League is like that. Everybody can score against everybody and everybody is in trouble as soon as you are not at your best."
The Frenchman added: "It was his most efficient game because I felt he took responsibility when we needed him. With a player of his experience you expect him to do that."
