The Lens midfielder missed the 1-0 opening Group B win over Niger, and is also set to sit out Thursday's clash against African giants Ghana.

Mali coach Patrice Caretonm, though, is confident the 23-year-old will be fit for the clash at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Monday.

"He is nursing a hamstring injury on his right leg, but has started running and should be ready for our match against DR Congo," said the French coach.

Sow was a regular in the Eagles side that finished third at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea and may partner captain Seydou Keita in central midfield against the Leopards.

Mali currently top Group B with three points, two above the DR Congo and Ghana, and a further one ahead of Niger.
