The Red Devils saw their lead at the top of the Premier League cut to five points following Clint Dempsey's late equaliser for Spurs after Robin van Persie had opened the scoring.

United had taken 12 points from a possible 12 going into the highly anticipated clash at White Hart Lane, while the last time they failed to claim maximum points was the 23rd December, a 1-1 draw with Swansea.

Jones said: "Confidence is high but we know we still have to produce and do our job every time we step out on the pitch.

"As long as we're focused on what we've got to do and on our game-plan hopefully we'll be okay.

"The Christmas period is always tough with a lot of games in a short space of time, but now we're getting towards the nitty-gritty part of the season.

"It's the time when you need to be fully aware of what you've got to do and go out and do it.

"We all relish the challenge - everyone in the squad is very focused and committed and we're all ready for the next game."

"Phil, 100% agree with you. 5 points is good but not good enough. In addition to games against other lower teams, we still have Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City to beat. We cannot afford to lose any of these and therefore we need to at our best and stay focus. "
