The 28-year-old has played over 400 games for the Catalans since graduating from their famed youth academy, and has every intention of increasing that number in the coming years.
"My desire is to see my career out at this club," Iniesta stated at a press conference.
"The only thing that could change my plans is the matter of performance. When I stop performing, or when the club decides I've stopped performing, is the day I'll leave."
Iniesta has, however, admitted that his side are not currently playing at the level they were in the first half of the season and wants to see Barcelona get back on track, starting with the second leg of their Copa Del Rey quarter-final clash with Malaga on Wednesday.
"We are all on alert and when we say that things are difficult that's a fact, not a cliche. That's the reality of football.
"The only thing we can do is analyse the situation and turn it around."
