The Frenchman has been training with his former club Arsenal during the MLS off-season, despite reports linking him with a loan move back to the Emirates.
The 35-year-old, who was a runner-up in the MLS Most Valuable Player Award last season, had an excellent season for the New York side, scoring 15 goals and tallying 12 assists in 27 games.

"I'm giving myself another two years," he told BeIn Sport.
