After scoring a triumvirate of goals in each of his last two visits to Carrow Road, the Uruguayan will be looking to emulate his feat in front of the Anfield faithful.

Brendan Rodgers's men went down 2-1 at Manchester United last Sunday, although have a solid record against teams below them in the standings.

Daniel Sturridge is in line to make his home debut for the Reds in what could be only his second start for his new club.

Fabio Borini is also set to play a part, but it remains to be seen whether or not he will return to the starting XI.

Jose Enrique (hamstring) and Martin Kelly (knee) remain the only long-term absentees, while fringe right-back Jon Flanagan has also been ruled out with a knee injury.

The Canaries have drastically improved their form after a 5-3 drubbing by the Reds earlier in the season, although they have struggled again of late.

Chris Hughton's side have failed to win in their last five Premier League matches, their last outing a goalless home draw with Newcastle.

Hughton looks set to welcome Grant Holt back to his starting line-up after the striker's cameo appearance against the Magpies.

Jonny Howson has recovered from illness and is in line to return to the squad, but Steve Morison will miss the trip with a leg injury.

Andrew Surman (knee), John Ruddy and Steven Whittaker (both knee) remain sidelined with their respective injuries.
