The two teams locked horns at La Rosaleda on Sunday, Tito Vilanova's troops running out 3-1 victors thanks to goals from Lionel Messi, Cesc Fabregas and Thiago Alcantara.

Los Boquerones managed to pull one back in the dying minutes through Diego Buonanotte, but it was nothing more than a consolation as the visitors eased to victory.

Malaga coach Manuel Pelegrino will be hoping his players can give a better account of themselves in the first leg in order to give themselves a fighting chance in the second-leg tie.

Vilanova has the luxury of an almost fully-fit squad to choose from, with youngster Sergi Roberto (hamstring) the only confirmed absentee.

Pelegrino, meanwhile, is in a similar position, as he has no injury or suspensions to contend with.
