Arteta: Missing man for Arsenal

Arsenal will be desperate to put their winless start to 2013 behind them when they take on high-flying Swansea in an FA Cup third-round replay on Wednesday.

The Gunners began the New Year with a 1-1 draw at Southampton in the Premier League before being pegged back to a 2-2 draw against the Swans a fortnight ago, while they most recently slumped to a 2-0 defeat to Manchester City on Sunday.

Arsene Wenger's men do, however, know all about what it takes to progress in the FA Cup, having lifted the trophy 10 times, one less than record holders Manchester United, who face West Ham in their replay on the same day.

Swansea, meanwhile, are undefeated in their last seven matches in all competitions, most notably seeing off Chelsea 2-0 in the Capital One Cup, although five of those other games have all ended in draws.

On the team front, the hosts are without Mikel Arteta for up to three weeks as the Spaniard is struggling with a calf strain, while Laurent Koscielny misses out through suspension following his sending off against City at the weekend.

Michael Laudrup, meanwhile, must do without Neil Taylor, who misses out with a fractured ankle, while the Swans manager must also decide whether or not to rest Michu, with Danny Graham also bang in-form with four goals in his last five appearances.
