The two teams played out to a goalless draw in the original fixture at Selhurst Park on January 5, with Manchester City awaiting the winners in the fourth round.

Coming off the back of defeats - the Potters losing 4-0 to Chelsea and the Eagles 1-0 to Burnley - both teams will be looking to regain the form they enjoyed earlier this season.

Jonathan Walters is looking to recover from a nightmare display against the Blues, when he scored two own-goals and missed a penalty.

Wilfried Zaha, who has been linked with the likes of Manchester United, Tottenham and Arsenal, caused Tony Pulis' side a few problems in the initial encounter and will be looking to make an impact again.

In team news, Michael Owen could make a rare start for the hosts, having only featured five times for the Premier League club this season, while new loan signing Alex Nimely, a striker from Manchester City, will be desperate to prove himself.

However, Pulis is still missing defender Marc Wilson and midfielder Rory Delap through injury.

Meanwhile, Palace boss Ian Holloway will be without Kagisho Dikgacoi, who is away on Africa Cup of Nations duty with South Africa until February.
