Walters had an afternoon to forget when he scored two own goals and missed a penalty as the Potters suffered their first home defeat of the season.
Pulis, however, believes Walters won't dwell on the game for too long.
"Jon's fine," Pulis said after the match.
"We look after people at the football club. It wasn't our day today, it was Chelsea's day."
The 54-year-old also bemoaned referee Andre Marriner's decision to award the Blues a penalty when Robert Huth was adjudged to have brought Juan Mata down in the penalty area.
"We're disappointed," he added.
"Obviously the second goal kills us.
"The goals that we conceded were poor. I'm really disappointed with the penalty as well. I know Robert's got his hand on his shoulder but Mata's legs just collapsed and I think it's soft.
"I don't think that was a 4-0 today. It's very hard to take because I don't think the lads deserve to be on the back of a 4-0 defeat for that performance."
