Spurs were undoubtedly the better side on the day, but a hard-grafting Rangers were able to deny the north-Londoners the three points.

"That was a fantastic performance," Redknapp told the press after the match.

"That was just as good as the performance we produced against Chelsea. We worked our socks off against a top team and I can't ask for any more than that."

Julio Cesar was impressive in his efforts to keep the scores level, a double save to prevent Jermain Defoe and Emmanuel Adebayor from scoring a particular highlight.

"He didn't have that many saves to make but the couple of ones he did make were fantastic. He's a world class goalkeeper," Redknapp added.

"I thought we worked hard all over the park today and I can't ask for more than that against a team that has been murdering other teams of late. They had a lot of possession but we restricted them to very few opportunities."

The notorious 'wheeler and dealer' also confirmed the Hoops are in the market for Jake Livermore on loan and Peter Odemwingie on a permanent basis.

"Odemwingie's a player I like so we wanted to see if there was any chance West Brom would be prepared to sell him," he said.

"We've made an enquiry but I've no idea how far it's gone."

"Hopefully Jake can come in and join us on loan. He would be a good acquisition. He's a good lad and obviously he can play," he said about the Tottenham midfielder.
