Harry Redknapp's resilient side frustrated Spurs in West London to earn a point, increasing their hopes of survival following their impressive win at Stamford Bridge last week.

Spurs' best chance of the game came just five minutes after kickoff when Jermain Defoe struck Julio Cesar's post with a powerful 25-yard shot.

The QPR goalkeeper made a fine double save to deny Defoe and Emmanuel Adebayor later on in the first half, although Shaun Wright-Phillips could have put the home side ahead when Adel Taarabt put him clean through on goal.

Defoe was again denied by Cesar midway through the second half when the Brazilian made a fine save with his legs to keep out the striker's shot from 12 yards.

There was little more excitement in the second period but Redknapp will be pleased to take home a share of the spoils against his former club and move off the foot of the Premier League table.

Redknapp will now look to the next league outing against West Ham as a chance to move his side further up the table, while Spurs host Manchester United at White Hart Lane.
