Both sides have accumulated 25 points in their respective leagues, however, despite the Canaries currently occupying 12th position in the Premier League, with the Posh in 21st place in the Championship, it is the lower league side who come into this game in a richer vein of form.

Peterborough's precarious position in the second tier of English football has left them level on points with relegation certainties Sheffield Wednesday, this despite the club having won four of their last five matches.

Darren Ferguson's side come into this match on the back of a 2-1 win against Barnsley on New Year's Day.

Norwich's season has, meanwhile, collapsed after a spectacular run that saw them go unbeaten for 10 games - their abysmal form of late seeing Chris Hughton's side manage just one win in their last five outings.

West Ham were the most recent side to inflict defeat on the Canaries, running out 2-1 winners in their first game of the New Year.

Hughton will be without the services of preferred striker Steve Morison, but Grant Holt has recovered from a hamstring injury and is set to return to the starting line-up. And Steven Whittaker is set to miss out with a thigh problem.
