The Cottagers go into the encounter at Craven Cottage on the back of a tough festive period that saw them struggle for consistency.

They were, however, able to see of West Brom in their last encounter, winning 2-1 away from home on New Year's Day.

The home supporters will be looking for inspiration from Dimitar Berbatov, who has added a much needed spark to his side's performances of late.

The striker has notched up seven goals this season and will look to add to that tally come Saturday.

Boss Martin Jol will go into the match looking to advance to the next round and improve on the club's recent cup form that has not see them advance passed the fifth round in recent seasons.

Blackpool also go into the match after struggling to gain results in the Championship where they lie a disappointing 14th.

New coach Michael Appleton will travel to London making only a few changes to his side that performed well against Hull, with some niggling injuries after the busy Christmas period.

Appleton says he is happy with the general fitness of his players and believes he needs to build on his team's momentum. He is, however, weary of a Fulham side with some quality players.

In team news, Blackpool will make the trip without winger Matt Phillips (toe) and centre-back Ian Evatt (knee), while striker Wes Thomas has returned to Bournemouth after his loan spell expired.

Appleton will look at Liverpool target Thomas Ince to add to his 14 goals so far this season for the Tangerines.

Fulham will be hoping long serving goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer returns from his neck injury, and that winger Damien Duff overcomes his calf strain.

They will, however, be without of the services of Mahamadou Diarra whose injured knee will not recover in time for the clash.
