Mark Robins' Coventry side will be looking to history for inspiration - the Sky Blues having beaten Spurs 3-2 back in 1987 to lift the coveted trophy.

Tottenham go into the game having overcome Reading 3-1 in the Premier League and are unbeaten in their last five matches, winning four of those.

The London side are expected to rest several senior players, but there could be a first start for Scott Parker since coming back from injury.

Andros Townsend, Tom Huddlestone and Yago Falque are all reported to be in line for a rare start but Benoit Assou-Ekotto remains doubtful.

Coventry have been in good form over the last couple of months with their 1-0 defeat on New Year's Day to Shrewsbury ending a run of nine games without defeat.

The Sky Blues have kept eight clean sheets so far this season.

The visiting side are currently in 11th position in League One, five points off the play-off positions.

Robins is expected to keep faith in the team that has done battle in recent games and changes are not foreseen.
