Bosingwa was fined two weeks wages and was dropped for the Hoops' last game against West Brom after refusing to take his place on the bench for the match against Fulham a fortnight ago.
Following Bosingwa's misdemeanour, manager Harry Redknapp launched a scathing tirade on the egos within the Rangers' dressing-room, even stating the stars were paid too much for what they were giving back to the club.
Cameroonian midfielder Mbia believes Bosingwa was deserving of his punishment and wants him to get his head right, as he is the type of player the Loftus Road outfit need if they are to repeat their great escape of last season.
"If the manager tells me to sit on the bench I will do it," Mbia said following the 2-1 defeat at the Hawthorns.
"It's up to the manager to make the decisions. If he wants you to sit on the bench, you sit on the bench.
"It's a very difficult and complicated situation. Hopefully at the end of the day the club and player can sort it out as Jose is a very good player."
The 26-year-old went on to give his full backing to the Redknapp revolution.
"I believe in him. I believe he is the man to get us out of trouble," he added.
"It's up to the players to give 100 percent, but the manager will give a lot to us.
"He has helped me a lot already. He has try to make me a more intelligent player. He wants me to be more careful on the pitch so I don't pick up needless yellow and red cards.
"I definitely think we can stay up. The gaffer gives us so much confidence, he uses so many different words, I know we can do it."
