The Senegal international has been the subject of speculation for much of this term after it was revealed there is a clause in his Magpies contract that allows him to leave for a bargain £7million.

Ba has most recently been linked with a move to Arsenal after scoring 11 goals in 19 appearances for Alan Pardew's side at the halfway stage of the Premier League campaign.

However, the 27-year-old striker is not thinking of anything other than improving Toon's 14th-placed league standing, although he admits he would love to be a part of the exciting project underway at Parc des Princes sometime in the future.

He told French radio station RMC: "I've never hidden my affection for the club which I've supported since I was very small.

"Right now, they're doing some really big things, and have big projects for the future. Of course I'd like to play in the colours of the team that I support."

Ba added: "Like Arsenal, [a move to PSG] is something which is still really far away. For the moment, I'm focusing on what I have to do in my club: get Newcastle out of the mess in which we find ourselves. But it's true PSG are a special club for me."
