Both teams set out to attack in the early stages and it was the visitors who had the best opportunities, with Robert Snodgrass going just wide of the mark early on.

The Canaries' eventually got the breakthrough as Snodgrass curled a wonderful free-kick past Ben Foster after 22 minutes.

The strike seemed to spark the hosts into life, as Peter Odemwingie and Chris Brunt tried their luck from distance and they eventually got their reward after 44 minutes, with Zoltan Gera prodding home after Jonas Olsson's header hit the post to send the teams in level.

The leveler appeared to inspire the Baggies in the second half with Odemwingie again going close, while Marc-Antoine Fortune causing havoc down the right.

Despite Norwich's strong defending, the Baggies' pressure eventually paid off and it was the impressive Lukaku who rose at the far post to meet Goran Popov's cross and power a header past Mark Bunn after 82 minutes to give his side the win.

The victory sees the Baggies end their disappointing recent run of form while Chris Hughton will surely be looking for more from his side when they face Chelsea on Boxing Day.
