The Whites took the lead nine minutes before the break as a blistering counter was smartly rounded off by Luciano Becchio, who swept home first-time from a brilliant delivery from out wide.

However, that would prove the home fans' last reason to cheer as Juan Mata, Branislav Ivanovic and Victor Moses quickly turned the game on its head after the break.

The goals weren't finished yet as Eden Hazard and Fernando Torres also got in on the action in the final 10 minutes to wrap up the convincing victory.

The Blues will now face either Aston Villa, Bradford or Swansea in the last four.

The visitors started the game well, with Mata having an early attempt before Oscar had a fierce shot blocked on the edge of the area.

Chelsea continued to push, but couldn't find an opener and it was the home side who opened the scoring, Becchio firing into the bottom left corner of Cech's goal after 37 minutes, following sloppy play from David Luiz in the Leeds half.

Rafa Benitez's men tried their best to get back into the game before the interval, but Jamie Ashdown was equal to Frank Lampard's effort from the edge of the area, before Moses saw his effort ruled out for offside.

The west London giants carried their momentum into the second half, and it didn't take long for them to get back into the game as Mata levelled the scores after Ashdown failed to deal with the Spaniard's rather tame shot.

Chelsea continued to dominate possession and it eventually told, with Ivanovic heading home just after the hour before Moses drilled his shot past the keeper from 25 yards to make the score 3-1.

The goals only spurred the Blues on and further strikes from Hazard and Torres saw them complete a comfortable victory.
