AC Milan midfielder Nigel de Jong has been ruled out for the remainder of the season after rupturing his Achilles ligaments in Sunday's 4-2 win over Torino.

The former Manchester City man, who left Eastlands for £3.5million at the end of August to join the Rossoneri, was stretchered off after just 22 minutes in the Serie A encounter.
And Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani later confirmed the injury was worst than initially feared.
"A bittersweet Sunday," Galliani told the club's official website. "De Jong's tendon has snapped and that means the season is over for him.
"It's a big loss for the team and takes the shine off the win."
De Jong has made 15 appearances for the Italian giants this term.
