Ben Foster is set to go under the knife again on his troublesome groin injury.

Zoltan Gera is doubtful with a groin injury of his own and will undergo a late fitness test.

Jonas Olsson could earn a rest, having played every one of Albion's games this season while manager Steve Clarke is unlikely to risk Steven Reid, who is still not 100 percent.

Meanwhile, Andy Wilkinson and Michael Owen could make their comebacks from respective back and hamstring injuries.

Peter Crouch is absent having lost three teeth in the Potters' 2-1 midweek win over Newcastle. Cameron Jerome is knocking on manager Tony Pulis's door having shone when he came on as a substitute against the Magpies.

The Baggies will be desperate to return to their winning ways after their 3-1 defeat to Swansea on Wednesday night. The loss ended a four-match winning streak in the league.

Stoke, comparatively, have won three of their last four matches which sees Pulis's side rise to ninth in the standings.

Clarke's side are in fourth and will be looking to the dynamic trio of Shane Long, James Morrison and Romelu Lukaku to fire them to victory.
