Their 2-1 win over Liverpool on Wednesday took the north Londoners up to fifth place on the standings.

Cottagers boss Martin Jol is still looking for a first win against the club he once managed, while the game will also see Dimitar Berbatov up against his former employers.

The west London outfit go into the match in 11th position. They managed a 0-0 draw with Chelsea last time out, but have not been in great form of late, having gone six games without a top-flight win.

Team news for the hosts sees Brede Hangeland serving the last match of his three-game suspension.

Alex Kacaniklic, Kieran Richardson and Bryan Ruiz all remain sidelined with hamstring injuries.

For the visitors, defender Steven Caulker is back in the picture after recovering from illness.

Emmanuel Adebayor is still suspended while Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Younes Kaboul (both knee) and Scott Parker (Achilles) remain long term absentees.
