The Royals' position in the relegation zone was entrenched on Wednesday when they conceded a late goal to lose 1-0 to Aston Villa.

The result leaves the newly-promoted side second from bottom, four points above QPR and four points shy of the safety zone.

For the hosts, midfielder Jimmy Kebe is doubtful with an ongoing groin injury, while Alex McCarthy and Jem Karacan are still out. Danny Guthrie is, however, available after a thigh issue.

The Red Devils made it two league wins from two in midweek as they edged out West Ham 1-0, having beaten QPR 3-1 in their previous match.

Nani (hamstring strain) and Antonio Valencia with a hip injury, remain unavailable for Sir Alex Ferguson's troops.

But Paul Scholes is back from suspension while Ryan Giggs has overcome a minor hamstring concern.

Club Nemanja Vidic is back in training, but won't feature on Saturday - he could make his comeback against Cluj on Wednesday in the Champions League.

United lead the Premier League table by one point over rivals Manchester City.
