Vaz Te: Not fit for Blues clash

Rafa Benitez will be looking for his first league win as Chelsea boss when he takes his side to Upton Park for a massive clash with West Ham United.

The Spaniard will be without the suspended David Luiz, after the Brazilian defender picked up a fifth yellow card against Fulham on Wednesday. John Terry and Frank Lampard are both set to miss out on the trip to East London due to injury.

Daniel Sturridge will undergo a late fitness test to see if he's ready, but will probably be rested for the midweek Champions League fixture against Nordsjaelland.

Benitez will hope that Fernando Torres packs his scoring boots, with the Spaniard last netting in the 4-1 over Norwich City in October.

The Hammers have had a great start to the season as they bid to avoid relegation in their first season back in the Premier League.

They have taken 19 points from the first 14 games and find themselves in 10th place on the table, seven points above the relegation zone.

Sam Allardyce will have to make do without Ricardo Vaz Te (shoulder) and Alou Diame (thigh) for the clash against their west London visitors.

This game comes too soon for the return of Jack Collison, who is recovering from a knee injury. On-loan Yossi Benayoun is ineligible against his parent club and will not be in action this weekend.

Good news for the Hammers is that George McCartney and Mark Noble will both return to the squad ahead of this weekend's fixture.

Chelsea haven't lost at Upton Park since the 2002/03 season and Benitez will look to continue this tradition in search of his first Blues victory.
