Following Juve's 1-0 loss at AC Milan, the Nerazzurri had a golden opportunity to narrow the gap to one point but appeared to buckle under the pressure when they went down to the Emiliani.
The result represented Inter's fourth league defeat of the season and saw them drop from second to fourth position in the standings.
Despite admitting his side are struggling to handle juggling Europa League and domestic football, Stramaccioni hit out at his players and said this was little excuse.
"We tried to take the game to a Parma team that was set out well, and Biabiany was a bit of a handful, but we didn't start badly," he said.
"However, the second half was one of the worst we've played.
"Our biggest regret is the goal we conceded. It was a bad mistake and we paid a heavy price for it. We were caught napping.
"It's not as if Sansone dribbled past our players, the team just opened up for him," said the youngest coach in the Serie A, referring to Sansone's 40-metre run and finish which proved to be the match-winner.
"I can't deny we've been unlucky with injuries recently but I don't want to make excuses. We've faded, we weren't able to produce enough intensity in our game."
