The Reds travelled to Wales on Sunday as both Allen and boss Brendan Rodgers returned to their former club Swansea.
But it was another frustrating draw for the Anfield outfit as Rodgers's men struggled to convert their chances.
Allen felt the Merseysiders were perhaps a little hard done by not to get the victory, especially after they had a goal disallowed when Jose Enrique was adjudged to be offside.
"We had a fair few chances to have taken all three points, but I know as well as anyone this is a tough place to come and they are a good side," the Welshman said.
"We are all ambitious professionals who want to win every game so when you don't pick up the three points you are always disappointed, and that's natural, but there are positives for us to focus on and we are looking forward to Wednesday's match at Tottenham and trying to get the three points."
Liverpool are in 11th place in the Premier League standings, but are currently on an eight game unbeaten run, only bettered by Manchester City who have yet to lose.
Allen is positive that their streak can go on, and that the Reds will soon turn their draws into wins.
He added: "We have extended our unbeaten run now in the league to eight games and we are getting that consistency now which we want.
"We would like to pick up more wins, that goes without saying, but we are confident that in the coming matches that's going to come.
"We will go to White Hart Lane with a high level of confidence and are confident we can get a good result."
