The Red Devils found themselves 1-0 down at Old Trafford as Jamie Mackie put the ball home after the break, but three goals in 10 minutes from Jonny Evans, Darren Fletcher and Javier Hernandez handed United the points.

The result took the outfit to the top of the standings, two points above Manchester City who travel to Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.

Speaking after the match, Ferguson said: "We only played for 10 minutes and those 10 minutes were brilliant. I thought Anderson changed the game for us."

On Fletcher, who only recently returned from a lengthy injury lay-off, Ferguson added: "The boy has had a long journey back and he has showed he is back to his best."
