The Canaries had been battling it out in the relegation zone last month, but a run of five league matches without defeat has taken them to 13th in the standings, five points above the bottom three.

Among their scalps in recent weeks were those of Arsenal and Manchester United, the latter the most recent to go down to Chris Hughton's men in a 1-0 reverse last weekend.

The Norfolk outfit do, however, face another stern opponent this weekend in the form of the Toffees, who are fifth in the standings following a solid start to the season.

David Moyes' men were, however, undone by Reading last weekend, the Royals earning their first win of the season with a 2-1 success, although the Merseysiders had gone their previous eight league matches undefeated.

In team news, Everton will be without star player Marouane Fellaini who is suspended after picking up his fifth booking of the season last weekend, but Tony Hibbert (hamstring) could return at right back.

Moyes, though, must do without Darron Gibson and Phil Neville who miss out with a groin and knee injury respectively.

For the visitors, Jon Ruddy could return against his former club after recovering a knee knock, while Russell Martin could feature after also recently returning to training.
