Clubs all over the world have been flocking to snap up the former Manchester United and Real Madrid star after he revealed he would be he leaving Los Angeles Galaxy following the Major League Soccer Cup on December 1st, with Australia a likely destination.

But Allardyce, who is well known for bringing the best out of ageing players, could provide the player with a last hurrah in the Premier League, something Beckham's camp would have to seriously consider.

Allardyce was quoted in the Sun as saying: "Yes, I would like to see a fit David Beckham at West Ham.

"But he would need to come and do a fitness test like any other player."
