CEO of the newly formed A-League side, Scott Munn, has stated the club's interest to sign the former Manchester United and Real Madrid star.
"What I can say is that it's certainly real, we're putting forward an offer, it's compelling and the opportunity is here for him to come here. That is absolutely legitimate," revealed Munn.
Beckham will take part in the MLS Cup final on December 1st with Munn adding: "Let's let David get through next week, play the final of the MLS and hopefully he'll have a win.
"Then I'm sure he'll assess every offer."
Beckham, who announced on Tuesday that he will be leaving Los Angeles Galaxy and Major League Soccer after a six year spell, has made no comment but his representatives have moved swiftly to dismiss the rumours.
Other Australian sides Perth Glory and Central Coast Mariners have also announced that they plan on making offers for the 37-year-old this week.
