Messi: Too good

Messi: Too good

Barcelona boss Tito Vilanova insists his side are not a one-man show, despite Lionel Messi yet again being at the forefront of win for the Catalan giants.

Messi netted a brace, taking his season's tally to 22, and also set up Alex Song to score his first goal for the club as they earned a 3-1 win over Real Zaragoza that left Barca six points clear of Atletico Madrid and eight points above Real Madrid..

But Vilanova maintains that Barca are not overly reliant on Messi, or at least that the Argentine cannot win games by himself.

"It's no great revelation to say that Messi is decisive, but Leo doesn't win games by himself," he said.

"You have to create chances, know how to defend... It's too simplistic to say Barca is just Messi.

"Leo is very good but we need all the players because only one cannot win a game."

Vilanova had another reason to smile after the victory, having seen Gerard Pique and Carles Puyol returning to the side, the two playing together for the first time since April.

"Having Puyol and Pique back makes a big difference," Vilanova added.

"(Javier) Mascherano had played too many games in a row. They'll really help us."
