Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson had no excuses for his side's shock 1-0 defeat at Norwich, saying that the better team won on the day.

The only goal of the game came via Anthony Pilkington in the second half, on a day in which the Red Devils were far from their best.
"They deserved the win because they worked so hard for it," Ferguson said.
"They defended really well and their goalkeeper made two or three really good saves at vital moments," he said in reference to John Ruddy's stops from Ashley Young and his own defender Sebastien Bassong.
After having gone a goal behind for the 11th time in 18 matches this season, Ferguson was understandably optimistic that United would still get something from the game.
"The players are used to making comebacks and we're always a threat in the last minutes of matches," the Scot said. "We had a lot of half-chances but it just wasn't our night."
