Olivier Giroud (hamstring/calf), Theo Walcott (buttock muscle), Mikel Arteta (hip) and Bacary Sagna (leg) are all doubts for Arsene Wenger who will be desperate for a win to catapult his side above Spurs.
Andre Villas-Boas' side are currently in seventh with 17 points, while the Gunners are a point and place worse off.
Gunners goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny could make a return from the ankle problem that has kept him sidelined since September while Jack Wilshere is back in contention having completed a suspension.
Gervinho (ankle), Kieran Gibbs (thigh), Abou Diaby (thigh) and Tomas Rosicky (hamstring) remain long-term absentees.
Tottenham must continue to make do without playmaker Mousa Dembele as he continues to recover from a hip injury but Aaron Lennon, Jermain Defoe and Kyle Walker have all recovered from hamstring injuries.
Scott Parker (Achilles), Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Younes Kaboul (both knee) remain long-term absentees.
Both sides are in need of the win though with Wenger's charges held to a 3-3 draw at home to Fulham last time out with Villas-Boas' side having lost to Wigan and Manchester City in their last two matches.
