Zingarevich is an open admirer of the Russian striker who made his name at Zenit St Petersburg where he played together with Pogrebnyak before moving to the Gunners.
The 31-year-old returned to Zenit on a loan deal after finding himself frozen out at the Emirates but has now returned to north London where he has made just five substitute appearances this season.
A lack of regular first-team football as well as interest from the Royals could tempt the diminutive winger to move on.
And fellow Russian Pogrebnyak is hoping that he does.
"It's Arshavin who has to make the decision," Pogrebnyak told RG.
"Anton Zingarevich knows him well enough without listening to my opinion, as he is from St Petersburg.
"Andrey is a master and there is no doubt that it would be great to see him at Reading."
