Hibbert: Ruled out

Sunderland will be desperate to stop the rot when they take on Everton at Goodison Park in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

The Black Cats have won just one Premier League game in 18 matches as well as having scored the fewest goals, with just six to their name thus far.

And they will face a tough test when they clash with a very impressive Everton outfit, who are currently in fourth position and high on confidence.

However, the Toffees do have some injury concerns. Tony Hibbert (calf), Darron Gibson (thigh) and Victor Anichebe (hamstring) are all ruled out with Gibson the nearest to a return.

Meanwhile, Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill will hand late fitness tests to a couple of players before he selects his side. But he would not reveal who the doubtful were.

Otherwise, the starting-lineup is expected to be the same as the one that started in the 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa.
