Ben Watson scored the only goal at White Hart Lane as the Latics recorded an unexpected win over a lacklustre Spurs outfit.

The away victory helped Roberto Martinez's side edge their way up the Premier League table into 13th spot and tied on 11 points with Liverpool.

Meanwhile, Peter Odemwingie's brace secured the Baggies a 2-0 triumph over strugglers Southampton on Monday night at the Hawthorns to move them up to fifth.

In team news, Latics midfielder James McArthur is rated as only 50-50 to play due to a dead leg.

Martinez otherwise has no new injury or suspension concerns with wingers Ryo Miyaichi (groin) and Albert Crusat (knee) still out.

For Albion boss Steve Clarke, goalkeeper Boaz Myhill is on stand-by to play should Ben Foster fail to recover from a recurring groin problem.

However, the Throstles may be boosted by the return of midfielder James Morrison after he resumed training in midweek.
