Goals from Claudio Marchisio, Arturo Vidal, Sebastian Giovinco and Fabio Quagliarella secured the Bianconeri all three points at Juventus Stadium on Wednesday night.

The midweek triumph left Antonio Conte's side in third place in Group E, just one point behind Chelsea and Shakhtar Donetsk with two games left to play.

"We wanted to win this game and the players proved it because they all did well from the first minute," said Juve assistant boss Angelo Alessio after Wednesday's victory.

"We created many chances and scored four goals. If Alessandro Matri had scored this would have been the perfect night for us. Everybody played well and the result is clear: it was a great performance."

Marchisio was as delighted with win, the midfielder adding: "This game was already a final for us - we had to win or our dream to qualify for the next stage would have vanished.

"Fortunately, we managed to score an early goal so the game was completely different to the one in Denmark. My goal was important but so was our second one.

"It was important to kill the game quickly because even if they lost against Shakhtar and Chelsea, Nordsjælland are a team who have made trouble for all of their opponents in the group and deserve to play in the Champions League.

"It is a pity we dropped two points against them two weeks ago otherwise we would have been first in the group now.

"However, we still have the chance to qualify and we must focus on the next game against Chelsea now. It will be another final for us, like tonight."
