Mesut Ozil was on target in the final minute of normal time to rescue the Galacticos a vital point which kept them second in Group D behind the Bundesliga champions after four matches.

Mourinho, though, feels there is not too much difference between finishing first or second in the group, stating that both times he has previously lifted the European Cup it has been after being seeded second after the group stages.

"The two times I won the Champions League I finished second in the group," the Portuguese tactician said after the Bernabeu encounter.

"With Porto we were second and Real Madrid were first and we went on to play Manchester United and we got through.

"With Inter we got Chelsea in the last 16. Chelsea out and we progressed. I am not superstitious but this makes me think that it doesn't matter whether you are first or second."
