The result at the Nou Camp keeps the Blaugrana at the top of the La Liga standings, with 28 points from 10 matches, three ahead of Atletico Madrid in second place.
Alba was pleased to have contributed to his side's victory which maintained an eight-point gap over their traditional rivals Real Madrid.
"It was an important win for us," he told reporters after the game. "I am extremely happy with my goal.
"Celta were dangerous in the first-half, especially on the counterattack, but I think in the second-half we controlled the game a lot better."
